Tick Tock...

So, only a few days left to go, and final chance to pick up last minute items this weekend.

Going through the itinerary with an even-finer-toothed comb resulted in panicky purchasing of many tickets for New York's sights, although unfortunately no tickets were left to go up to the Statue of Liberty's crown - we will have to make do with her feet instead. Unless she makes as on Doctor Who and ups sticks across Manhattan.

The build up begins...

So here we are, with less than a month to go until the big tour. It's all starting to get a bit serious.

Here's a quick run down of the itinerary (which Stella has spent many, many hours carefully crafting):

Thurs 4th Sept: Depart Salisbury for San Francisco.  Afternoon bus tour of SanFran
Fri 5th: Collect RV and the road trip begins! Stop at Groveland en route to Yosemite
Sat 6th: Groveland to Yosemite - tour of the park
Sun 7th: Continue tour of the park
Mon 8th: Head off to Sequoia NP
Tues 9th: Finish Sequoia then head off to Vegas!
Wed 10th: Arrive Vegas!
Thurs 11th: Whole day in Vegas
Fri 12th: Vegas to Grand Canyon
Sat 13th: Continue tour of Grand Canyon, including North Rim
Sun 14th: Arrive in Zion NP
Mon 15th: Zion NP
Tues 16th: Head off to Bryce Canyon
Wed 17th: Finish Bryce Canyon and head off north
Thurs 18th: Bear Lake near Salt Lake City overnight stop en route to Yellowstone
Fri 19th: Arrive Yellowstone via some of Tetons NP
Sat 20th: Yellowstone
Sun 21st: Head back down via rest of Tetons NP. Stop near Bear Lake again
Mon 22nd: Stay just north of Salt Lake City for Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on Salt Lake itself.
Tues 23rd: Salt Lake City to drop off Rv then whole day in the city.
Wed 24th: Flight to Vancouver
Thurs 25th: Day in Vancouver. Char heads back to UK.
Fri 26th: Rocky Mountaineer railway
Sat 27th: Continue Rocky Mountaineer to Banff
Sun 28th: Exploring Banff
Mon 29th: Head off to Lake Louise
Tues 30th: Exploring around Lake Louise
Wed 1st October: Head off Jaspe
Thur 2nd: Exploring Jasper
Fri 3rd: More Jasper
Sat 4th - 7th: Off to Toronto via train
Wed 8th: Niagara Falls
Thurs 9th : Off to New York via train
Fri 10th: New York
Sat 11th:  New York
Sun 12th: New York
Mon 13th: Train to Washington
Tues 14th: Explore Washington
Wed 15th: Fly to Miami
Thurs 16th: Miami
Fri 17th:  Drive to Key West
Sat 18th: Key West
Sun 19th: Key West to Miami
Mon 20th: Fly home!
Tues 21st: Arrive back in UK

Thanks to Travellers World, the various National Parks for their help in determining how easy places are to access with our 2.5 (American?) berth RV, Sharon who provided so much help for exploring Canada, and finally Caz in Vegas for providing us with advice on LV navigation/logistics and of course for our bespoke tour, which we are very much looking forward to!
